The great potential industry but also has many challenges
Considered as the "cashew capital" of Vietnam, Binh Phuoc cashew industry has constantly developed over the years, glorifying the country's typical products in the international consumption market. According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Binh Phuoc province, in 2022, the cashew planting area here was relatively large, accounting for about 45% of the total area of the country. Cashew trees are distributed throughout the province but are concentrated mainly in Bu Dang district, Bu Gia Map, Phu Rieng, and Dong Phu districts.

On March 4, 2023, at the conference to update information and evaluate the prospects of raw cashew prices and cashew kernels, Mr. Vu Thai Son, Chairman of Binh Phuoc Cashew Association, said that in the second half of 2022, the supply increased unstably, the export volume of cashew kernels to the United States and Europe decreased. Although global raw cashew production and production costs have increased, bank interest rates have also increased, inflation is high, and cashew kernel purchase prices are getting lower and lower. According to estimates, cashew kernel exports in Vietnam in 2022 will decrease by 14.81% (reaching more than 519,000 tons) compared to 2021; the average price is US$5,809 per kg; with value decreased by 19.57%.

In 2020, these products were recognized by the Appraisal Council of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee to meet the 4-star OCOP standard.
Currently, the Company is signing production cooperation contracts with 4 business households in Phuoc Long Town with a total area of about 89,000m2 of material growing area, with an output of 26 tons per year. Enterprises also ensure the output for farmers to feel secure, increase productivity, and not suffer from costs. At the same time, the company organizes many propaganda sessions in order to change awareness among farmers.
