OVN - In order to promote the consumption of agricultural products among localities across the country, on October 23, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the People's Committee of Hanoi City cooperated with the People's Committees of 40 provinces and cities to organize a Forum
The forum "Sharing information, connecting agricultural, forestry and fishery trade between Hanoi and other provinces, cities" was organized online and reported on the online newspaper Agriculture Vietnam, this newspaper’s network system. With the participation of Mr. Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD); Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach, Editor-in-Chief of the Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper, Leader of the Executive Group of the Forum on Connecting Agricultural Products 970; leaders of People's Committees of provinces and cities; Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; with a large number of businesses and cooperatives across the country.
According to statistics, Hanoi is a large and potential market for the consumption of agricultural, forestry and fishery products, especially at the end of the year when people's consumption demand increases. Therefore, at the Forum, Hanoi expressed its desire to coordinate with other provinces and cities to implement plans to serve Tet holiday, connect supply - demand, introduce qualified businesses and production facilities into channels distribution in the area.
In addition, throughout the exchange process, many participating units actively expressed their opinions in order to find new directions, promote connection - trade, and expand the market for agricultural products to the provinces, cities with Hanoi. In particular, at the Forum, there was also a signing ceremony of the cooperation program "Ensuring food safety, improving the quality of agricultural, forestry and fishery products traded between Hanoi and other provinces, cities in the 2021-2025 period".
It can be seen that the above forum is the basis for the implementation of plans to promote the economy and improve the efficiency of the trade cooperation program between Hanoi and other provinces, cities in the coming time. At the same time, contributing to the sustainable socio-economic development of each locality. Joining hands to successfully achieve the dual goal of both preventing the Covid-19 epidemic and stabilizing the economic recovery in the new situation.
